RC51 on Sociocybernetics is a Research Committee of the International Sociological Association (ISA). As part of the XXI World Congress of Sociology, to be held in Gwangju, Korea, from 4 to 10 July 2027, RC51 is actively participating in the scientific programme under the Congress theme “Global Sociology in Turbulent Times”.
RC51 hereby calls on its members and the broader sociological community to submit session proposals for inclusion in the Congress programme. Eligible formats include regular paper sessions, roundtable discussions, and joint sessions organized in collaboration with other Research Committees. Each session runs for 105 minutes and can host up to five paper presentations, followed by a 25-minute plenary discussion.
How to Submit (Deadline: 25 June 2026):
- Proposal length: Up to 250 words per proposal.
- Deadline: 25 June 2026, by 23:59 UTC/GMT.
- Submission platform: Proposals must be submitted online through Confex. Please navigate to “Research Committees” and select “RC51”.
- Session quota: RC51 will accept up to 19 sessions for the Congress.
